The NEW glutenfreefollowme.com is finally here! I’ve been wanting to make this big upgrade for a while now. When I was first told that I had to be gluten free five years ago, I was totally overwhelmed. I wanted someone to tell me exactly what I could and couldn’t eat but I couldn’t find one spot that did this. Now I feel like this new website {OUR new website!} truly does this.
If you visited my old website from the last few years, you will see that this website is much more user-friendly. It now has direct links to all of the 2,000+ gluten free friendly eateries, products, and recipes I’ve personally reviewed. This site matches my style, and I’m SO excited to communicate with all of you here.
About:
I share more about my story on the About page and answer some of your questions in the FAQs section. Have a question that wasn’t answered there? Fill out the form, and I’ll do my best to answer it!
Ratings:
All of the restaurants, products, and recipes have a rating from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best. I have personally reviewed all of them. I like to try everything out to give my honest opinion. And then I’m able to compare them rather than different people giving different ratings. You get a say too though! You can “like” the restaurants, recipes, products, delivery services, and blog posts you approve of. Just click the heart next to that item and view how many people like that item as well.
Restaurants:
I want to make it easy for you to uncover restaurants near you and on your travels. The Restaurants page details 1,500 gluten free friendly restaurants. You have endless dining choices!
- Customize your own searches and filter the restaurants by type of restaurant (sit down, grab & go, bakery), location (state/country, city, neighborhood), type of cuisine, rating, and dietary restrictions (100% gluten free, 100% dairy free, 100% vegan).
- You can start to type what you’re looking for in the filters on the Restaurants, Recipes, and Products page. For example, if you’re looking for NYC restaurants, then click the New York checkbox or start to type ‘New York’ on the State dropdown. Then, click the New York City checkbox or start to type ‘New York City’ on the City/Neighborhood dropdown.
- Each restaurant’s profile includes a map with its location(s), website, phone number, hours, rating, and a link to make a table reservation if applicable.
- On each individual restaurant profile, I also indicate if the restaurant has a gluten free menu, gluten free bread, gluten free pizza, and gluten free pasta, and then share the gluten free menu options. And of course, pictures!
Recipes:
You now have easy access to 250+ recipes on the Recipes page. Each recipe has its own recipe card with ingredients, preparation instructions, and timing. I love when you guys make my recipes so be sure to tag me on social media so I can see your creations!
- On the left-hand side of the Recipes page, you can choose from the categories Dessert, Breakfast, Appetizers, or Entrees.
- Choose a Recipe Type such as fruit, vegetables, bread, cookies, cupcakes, yogurt, brownies, ice cream, food art, bars, pizza, cakes, eggs, muffins, pancakes, burgers, pasta, tacos, and smoothies.
- Filter by Occasion if you’re looking for a holiday-specific recipe such as Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, Memorial Day, Super Bowl, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, and Winter.
- Paleo and vegan filters are also available in the drop-down.
Products:
There are 750+ gluten free friendly products detailed and ranked on the Products page. Even if you don’t live in a gluten free friendly area, you can still purchase products online! Craving baked goods? Or looking for a new supplement? Just use the filters to uncover the newest and best products!
- Each brand has its own individual product page which includes a detailed listing of product(s), along with its dietary restrictions and more details.
- Filter the products by the following categories: food, drink, vitamins & supplements, beauty/bath/body, books, packages, stores, and gadgets.
- Filter by type of product such as baking mix, flour, baking supplies, cookie dough, baked goods, cookies, cake, brownies, muffins, pies, nut butter, coconut butter, chocolate, candy, bars, granola/cereal, bread, seafood, meat, burger, fruit, vegetables, pasta, seeds & grains, meal kit, soup/broth, frozen food, pizza, pizza, dressing, oil, sauce, condiment, BBQ sauce, hummus, dip, popcorn, yogurt, milk, butter, cheese, chips, crackers, rice cakes, pretzels, ice cream, popsicle/sorbet, tea, soda, water-based beverage, juice/smoothie, alcohol, beer, vodka, coffee, supplements, sweeteners.
- The Products page is incredibly helpful if you’re gluten free plus have other allergies or need to avoid something on top of gluten. You can filter the products by dietary restrictions such as paleo, vegan, dairy free, nut free, egg free, peanut free, rice free, potato free, soy free, tree nut free, organic, non-GMO, no refined sugars, plus certifications for each of these dietary restrictions.
- Filter for products which are certified gluten free and/or made in a dedicated gluten free facility, rather than products that are naturally gluten free.
Delivery Services:
The Delivery Services page has a similar layout to the Products page. It includes the type of delivery, rating, products, dietary restrictions, details, and pictures for each delivery service.
Blog:
I will be more active with writing blog posts! My prior blog posts are still on the site. Shoot me an email if there are any topics you’re interested in me discussing!
