Toffee Chocolate Chip Brownies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup GF all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup milk chocolate English toffee bits (or chop up the milk chocolate English toffee yourself)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line pan with non-stick aluminum foil or parchment paper. I used an 8x8 inch glass pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar, eggs, and pure vanilla extract.
  3. Add in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips & toffee bits to batter. Set aside a few tbsp of toffee bits to add later. 
  4. Pour batter into pan. Sprinkle the rest of the toffee bits evenly on top of brownie batter.
  5. Bake for about 28-30 minutes. When a toothpick comes out mostly clean from the center, they're done.
